Nemo rambles about Ancestors
Alright, so recently, I posted a picture of The Collector, one of my fan ancestors. Here is her story (and the others in this story will come later.
Let’s start with The Collector, also know as a girl named Orerth Regeve. She’s an olive blood with a crow lusus that has six wings, but is the size of a normal crow. She works now for Her Eternal Excellency, whose true name is Celena Almivo (and to whom belongs a giant squid lusus). And Oreth doesn’t work for HEE out of her own will or power. You see, she was working with a few other rebels (The Avenger [now The Martyred], The Nurturer [now The Agonized], and The Circuiter [now The Imperial Guidance]). As you can see, things do not work out well for them. Let’s start with Orerth’s story, the story of how The Alchemist became The Collector.
Now, in her earlier years, The Alchemist was...well an alchemist. Very renowned, she worked for herself, brewing potions in the comfort of her treehouse hive and selling them out at the nearby market to anyone who would come to her. Her hair was decorated with the shed feathers of her lusus (Crowmom has six wings, she sheds a lot). Her potions would work, of course, she didn’t get a title for nothing. Of course, Orerth isn’t exactly happy, but then again, no one is on Alternia. Blue bloods would come into town, rough up the people living there, take her hard brewed potions for free and claim they were for the Empress. So she ran, packed up her hive and took her lusus and booked it. She ran until she found the others, The Avenger and The Nurturer (The Circuiter comes later). They took her in, and she was always violent even back then. Half of her potions were poison after all. So she wanted to fight and kill and punch her way through the Empress’s army until she could poison the bitch herself. But the other two, they calm her down as well as they can. Just enough so that she isn’t about to murder a bunch of people.
So they start a radio station, deeply encoded which shifts frequencies every broadcast. They do this, with the help of The Circuiter. Now, The Circuiter was a yellow blood who (at the time) also went by the name of Lestir Buhosi. He and Orerth bonded fast over their lusi. His was an owl with three beaks, and hers a crow with six wings. Time went by and soon enough they were moirails, so happy and content together. Now, since it is me who is writing this story, it won’t stay like that.
Because soon enough, the Empress catches on. Catches on to the fact that they’re changing stations, and figures out their code and finds them. Of course they’re all taken captive. The Avenger, a brown who worked so hard to free those in slavery. The Nurturer, a jade who just wanted to stay in the Brooding Caverns who was forced from them when her lusus was slaughtered because she accidentally culled a teal blood (she ran from threats). The Circuiter, a valuable yellow blood who worked for an Indigo blood and then broke out. And of course, The Alchemist, who didn’t want to be bossed around.
Things just go downhill from ‘oh no’ to ‘shit’ to ‘fuck’ to ‘NOT HIM PLEASE’. Let’s start with the ‘oh no’ stage. The execution and renaming of Aejied Shroel. It’s slightly like The Signless’s (who doesn’t exist in this universe). Except, he doesn’t give a huge and proud speech. He curses and screams obscenities at her, screams until they finally push the button and have him dunked under, his feet encased in concrete and the dunking tub just slightly too big for him.
So, Orerth, Lestir, and Isapih Draton (the Nuturer’s true name) had to watch in horror as he struggled futilely to try and escape. Of course he couldn’t, so it wasn’t very long until they dragged his lifeless body from the tank and carved his new name into his chest. The Martyred.
And that leads us to the ‘shit’ phase. Where The Nurturer becomes The Agonized. You see, people were still angry about the teal that she had culled all those years ago. So they decided to give her a just punishment. She had to escape a teal blood. The only drawback being that this was Striha Vlerst, whose title was The Inescapable. Oh yes, they never saw her again. Though, they say that there is an endless chase, The Agonized doomed to a lifetime of no rest and running even when her feet bleed and her stomach twists inside of her. If this story had taken place a thousand years before, it’d have become the myth of the sun and the moon.
Now, onto the ‘fuck’ phase, where The Alchemist becomes The Collector. It wasn’t that hard, just cart her off to The Diviness (whose true name is Sabyli Perema). Have her chucklevoodoo her mind to hell and back until she has to think for a few seconds when asked what her name is. There’s no evidence of her old life on her, not once her weapon was taken from her, once her potion making skills were done away with. And certainly not once she was outfitted with new clothes and a new weapon and a new home with her lovely purple blooded matesprit who knows how to put at ease her stupid brain who keeps giving her nightmares of memories that do not belong to her. No sir! And so she lives there, with her matesprit. But don’t worry about Lestir, she sees him very often, though now she can only remember his title as “The Imperial Guidance”.
This gets into the whole ‘NOT HIM PLEASE’ phase. Also known as Celena needs to stop and realize that she can’t just mind control whoever she wants to love her. This is the story of how The Circuiter becomes The Imperial Guidance. Alright, so we first need to know, what he IS. Simple answer: a cyborg. Long answer: here we go.
So, at this point, Lestir and Orerth are both alone, just with each other and their moirailegence. And they know their time is limited and Lestir has to watch Orerth get pulled away from him to go with The Diviness. So he’s stuck in the dungeons of the Imperial palace as Celena tries to win him to her side because he’ll be happier there and he won’t need to be bogged down and he can have her! Of course, he doesn’t acknowledge her existence, just stares at the bracelet that Orerth gave him when they first became moirails.
And of course, Calena hates getting refused things. So she has him knocked out. The bracelet ripped from him because he won’t need memories and she’s done with him. And he’s taken apart and put back together, with other stuff inside of him. And the other stuff is metal and wires and she finds herself hilarious because The CIRCUITer is now full of CIRCUITS. So she wakes him up and his veins glow now and he asks who she is because there’s nothing in his brain anymore. After all, he’s basically a computer and a computer can be reset to Default mode. And he’s refitted with a new outfit and memories and feelings and he’s better now. Because he kisses Celena now, and he lights up (literally with his new body modifications) whenever she walks in the room. Her perfect toy, a coin operated boy. And he’s become what’s basically the equivalent of a pearl in Steven Universe. Just a pretty decoration with a computer brain who can keep everything in check automatically.
